Function Venues

For your function, be it business or pleasure, we can offer you the following venues.
We will require details of the number of guests attending, menu choices, drink, wine, and champagne choices,
together with all other requirements, 14 working days in advance; where a function is booked less
than 14 days in advance, this information will be dealt with immediately.
GARDEN ROOM
Located on the ground floor (adjacent to the Drawing Room). Lunch (vacated by 6.00 p.m. )
or dinner, 10-30 covers (depending on table layout). Meetings, up to 18 boardroom style.
There will be a private room hire charge of £70.00 for functions of 16 people and under.
ABBOTS CELLAR RESTAURANT
Located, as its name suggests, downstairs, the beamed Abbots Cellar Restaurant is used, generally, for
luncheon only (vacated by 6.00 p.m. ), 30-42 covers. Dinner may be available upon request, subject to
availability and the type and size of function required.
DRAWING ROOM AND UPSTAIRS LOUNGE
Our Drawing Room is located on the ground floor (access to the garden), whilst our Upstairs Lounge is
located on the first floor. Both rooms offer standing space with some casual seating; suitable for smaller
gatherings such as pre-lunch and pre-dinner drinks.
Drawing Room, 20-42 covers/Upstairs Lounge, 10-20 covers.
MARQUEE LAWN
Located just beyond our car park, the Marquee Lawn is enclosed by hedges, with borders
of mature shrubs and flowers and access to the river. Marquee functions (concluded by
6.00 p.m. ), 40-200 covers. The hotel will co-ordinate, and quote for, all the necessary
marquee arrangements, in-line with your requirements. An administrative charge
would be applied accordingly for this, depending on the size and type of function.
TERRACE/MAIN LAWN
We are happy to serve lunch for guests on the Terrace/Main Lawn, but this is dependant
on the weather and we must always have the option of holding the function inside the hotel.
EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE HOTEL
It may be possible to book the hotel on an 'exclusive use' basis subject to your requirements.
Please contact the hotel to discuss these requirements further. The overall cost of an 'exclusive use'
event varies accordingly, depending on our normal revenue trends for the time of year, number of guest
rooms required, and meals to be taken. The very nature of an 'exclusive use' event
means that it is completely tailor-made.
